Sue Walker – PA House 13

Sue Walker for PA House 13

A community activist, public educator and 20-year resident of Landenberg, Sue Walker is running to be the next Pennsylvania state representative for the 13th District. An independent thinker, she intends to work diligently and collaboratively towards:

  • Fiscal accountability in Harrisburg and District 13
  • Economic growth and new jobs
  • Educational excellence in our schools
  • Infrastructure repair and improvement
  • Conservation of natural resources
  • Quality health and wellness services for all

For the last 14 years, Walker has worked with the Avon Grove School District as a volunteer coordinator, Title I instructor for reading remediation, and currently is manager of the high school library. Prior to 2004, she was president of the local MOMS club–a national organization for stay-at-home mothers.  She also worked as an employment recruiter.

Walker is concerned about our country’s direction, particularly since the 2016 election. Well-versed in national issues and their impact locally, she is taking local politicians to task on her own and as an OxGrove Democrats ActNow and Fair Districts PA volunteer.

A native of New Jersey, Walker attended public schools and earned a B.A. in English and Communications from The College of New Jersey.  She is married to Michael Soltis.  Their sons, Zach and Ryan, are students at Penn State University.  Additional family members include Lucy and Brody, both Great Danes (the state dog of Pennsylvania) and two cats. Providing foster care for All 4 Paws animal rescue is a volunteer endeavor enjoyed by the entire family.
