He is running because believes that the citizens of his district aren’t receiving adequate representation in Harrisburg on important issues such as improving public education and developing local businesses.

He graduated with honors from Kutztown University, where he earned a degree in political science, public administration, and speech communication and also played defensive end on the football team. During college, Kevin worked as an intern for state representative Robert Freeman and continued that work after graduation in the state fellowship program. He later took a job at Main Street Gym in Hellertown, where he eventually became the owner. He currently lives with his wife and two sons in Upper Saucon Township, where he is active in local groups such as the Freemasons and the Chamber of Commerce.
Kevin Branco On The Issues
Kevin’s views on the importance of education and growing the local economy go hand in hand. “We have some of the best higher education in the country, and we can’t keep any of those people here. They all leave,” he says. “We want to make those people stay here, invest here, start companies here.” By keeping talented graduates in the local area, Kevin seeks to diversify the local economy by making it easier to start and grow small businesses.
When it comes to K-12 education, Kevin believes that all children deserve the same opportunities. He will work for greater oversight of charter schools and affordable early childhood education for local families. As the owner of Main Street Gym, Kevin actively supports the local school district and youth sports. He plans to continue his commitment to his district’s children by strengthening public education and making sure all local students can realize their full potential.
