Brian Kline for PA House 145
About Brian Kline
Brian Kline is the Democratic candidate for the 145th General Assembly seat in Upper Bucks County. He is also a cancer survivor and Medicaid Expansion enrollee.
In 2015, Brian had access to health insurance for the first time in nine years. In early 2016, he was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Without Medicaid, he would have faced two options – medical bankruptcy or eventual stage 4 colon cancer. Medicaid saved his life.
Brian had successful surgery to remove the tumor. Six months of chemotherapy and two CAT Scans show no evidence of disease; however, he is still being monitored by doctors for the next three years. Brian relies upon Medicaid to have access to his doctors.
Brian Kline On The Issues
Brian believes that healthcare is a human right. As state representative, he promises to protect Medicaid and work to expand healthcare for all. Republicans are determined to repeal the Affordable Care Act and cut Medicaid. Brian’s Republican opponent has voted to cut Medicaid three times.
