About Christina Sappey
Christina Sappey is a candidate for the PA House 158th Legislative District. Known to many as Chris, she has spent over a decade working in state government. Chris has served as Chief of Staff to former State Representative Barbara McIlvaine Smith (D156), staff member to State Senator Andy Dinniman (D19) and most recently, Chief of Staff to State Representative Carolyn Comitta (D156). Chris and her husband Jon are 25 year residents of Chester County.
During this time, Chris has served the community in numerous ways. While raising their three children, she served on the education committee at her church, taught Sunday School and volunteered at her children’s public schools and various teams. Concerned by the increasing impact of traffic on the historic village of Marshallton and surrounding area in West Bradford, Chris joined several other residents in forming the Marshallton Conservation Trust (MCT), a registered 501C3 non-profit, where she has been a board member since 2009.
Chris has always sought practical solutions to address problems in her community and at the state level. By gathering stakeholders for collaboration, she has often helped lead groups to consensus and resolution. Her long track record as a compassionate moderate who listens and acts to bring about change is well known throughout Chester County and Harrisburg.
