Daniel Smith for PA House 12
A Focus on Local Issues
Raised in Zelienople, Daniel Smith currently resides in Adams Township with his partner, Don. They are proud owners of a beautiful, rescued, 8-year-old retriever greyhound mix named Star. Daniel has long been active in the Barbershop Harmony Society and sang with several quartet and Choruses though his travels.
More than two decades ago, Daniel began work in the banking sector as a customer service representative. After many years of focus and determination at BNY Mellon, Daniel moved into a leadership position and has supervised the careers of dozens of young professionals.
Daniel’s interest in politics was cultivated at a very young age. As a student at Seneca Valley Junior High, Daniel asked family friend and Representative David Levdansky to speak in class. He got an even closer look into the inner workings of our government when his Civics teacher, Pat Carone, ran a winning campaign for PA House of Representatives District 12 seat. Pat used her campaign as a learning experience for her students, capturing Daniel’s attention and fueling his interest in politics that lasts to this day.
Now, that once-young high school student has decided to run for the same seat once held by his civics teacher!
Fed up with the business as usual in the Pennsylvania House, Daniel has witnessed his opponent, the district incumbent Daryl Metcalfe, pursue an extreme right-wing agenda that is out of touch with the needs, interests, and concerns of hard-working residents in Adams, Callery, Clinton, Cranberry, Forward, Mars, Middlesex, Penn, Seven Fields, and Valencia.
Daniel believes that a representative should be just that: a person who represents ALL of the residents of the district. Someone who puts his constituents first; not the special interest groups or wealthy corporate donors.
In his twenty year career in business, Daniel has fostered principles of camaraderie, social justice, and economic growth; and believes government policy can be created which includes ALL those principles without having to sacrifice one for the other.
Daniel Smith Jr. possesses the drive, determination, organization, leadership, and work ethic needed to succeed as our State Representative.
Let’s send him to Harrisburg where he will be a voice for all the residents of Pennsylvania’s 12th House District.
