Deb Baughman for PA House 78
Deb Baughman was raised outside of Boston and relocated to Pennsylvania in 1985. She moved to the 78th district five years ago after retiring from her 25-year career as a teacher in the Cornwall- Lebanon School District. She graduated from Lesley College in Boston with a degree in education and holds a master’s degree in education from Wilkes University. She lives with her husband in Saxton, which is John’s home area. They have three children and three grandchildren.
Deb serves on the executive committee of the Bedford County Democratic Committee, is an appointed Liberty Township Democratic Committee Person, and is a member of the Helen B. Hughes Federation of Democratic Women. She is actively involved with the Rural Caucus of the PA State Democratic
Committee and is a passionate advocate and leader for rural issues and working families. She is a founding member of Fair Districts Bedford County which seeks non-partisan redistricting reform. Deb is an active member of PSEA-Retired, the Indivisible Upstanders of Bedford County, and a member of the Saxton Sportsmen Association. She enjoys outdoor pursuits in her free time- especially hunting, fishing and boating on Raystown Lake.
Deb is running as a Democrat for state representative because there are too many Pennsylvanians left behind. She is running to make a difference for working families- the people with mud on their boots- and wants to focus on issues that REALLY improve lives: investments in workers, families, schools, and communities.
