Jean Foschi for PA House 88

My name is Jean Foschi and I am a proud Penn State alumna and an Upper Allen resident since 2002. My political aspirations formed from my born desire to solve problems and help others. Putting my political science degree to work early here, I entered public service in 2005 when I applied for a volunteer position on the Upper Allen Zoning Board. Eleven years later, and following a career in the private sector, I serve as chair of the board, overseeing the matters of public and private land use and stewardship in our community.

I’m now seeking your vote to further serve our 88th Legislative District. I grew up in the small Pennsylvania town of DuBois, northwest of State College. The daughter of a Penn State professor dad and an education-minded mom, I was raised with a love of learning and a curiosity about the world. I attended Catholic school growing up, where I received great academic instruction and an equally important life lesson: we must always care for one another.

After graduating from Penn State, I worked hard managing a restaurant before pursuing a career as a paralegal. This work turned out to be the work I loved: It was full of challenges, learning opportunities, new people and the privilege to help learn their needs and help them in all sorts of matters. Handling other casework related to banking, real estate and governance gave me firsthand knowledge and experience in an increasingly publicly and privately interconnected world. I gained a great appreciation for patience, trustworthiness, accuracy, expertise, and a deep respect for the rule of law.

I moved to the 88th Legislative District in 1999 with my husband, Anthony, and to Upper Allen Township in 2002, where we’ve raised our two sons, Leo and John. This region is my home, and I love living here. Now that the opportunity to give back has presented itself, I cannot say no.

If elected, I aim to bring excellent constituent service to all residents of the 88th and to put people back in charge over Harrisburg special interests.
