Important Dates

It is strongly advised that you request a mail-in ballot as soon as possible and return it as soon as possible after receiving it.

September 14: Early In-Person Voting may begin.*

October 19, midnight: Deadline to register to vote or update your registration for the General Election

        • Register online or by mailing or dropping off a paper application at your County’s Board of Elections. The form must arrive by this time – postmarks will not count.

OCTOBER 20: RECOMMENDED date to mail back your mail-in ballot to reach the Elections Office in time.

October 27, 5:00pm: Deadline to request a mail-in ballot for the General Election

        • Register online or by mailing or dropping off a paper application at your County’s Board of Elections. The form must arrive by this time – postmarks will not count.

November 3, 7:00am-8:00pm: Polls open. If you are in line to vote at 8:00pm, you will be able to vote.

        • You can find your polling place at votespa.com/status but please note that your polling place may change between now and November 3.

November 3, 8:00pm: Deadline for mail-in ballots.

        • Mail-in ballots must be dropped off at County Board of Elections or a dropbox no later than 8:00pm on November 3rd, or be postmarked by November 3rd and arrive by November 6th. It is best to aim for November 3rd. If you are mailing your ballot, it is recommended to mail it no later than October 20th.
        • The availability of drop boxes for ballots depends on your county. Many counties do have them! Check at your County’s Board of Elections website!
